Help a candidate upload their own “suggested” external reviewers/evaluators before they submit their dossier.
To complete the steps in this guide, you will need the admin role in PROMOTE. If you do not have the roles you need, check out our user roles guide to learn how to request additional access.
In this guide, the term "reviewer" will be used to represent both external reviewers (academia) and external evaluators (research). Distinctions between the two will be made in specific sections of the guide if necessary.
\uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions
To add suggested external reviewers on behalf of a candidate before they submit their dossier, follow these steps.
Log in to PROMOTE (promote.gatech.edu) using your Georgia Tech credentials.
Select the correct process (Academic Promotion & Tenure, Research Faculty Promotion, Critical Review, Academic Non-Tenure Track Faculty, or Tenure on Appointment).
Scroll through the candidate grid for the process you selected to find the candidate’s row and click on their name in the leftmost column or Edit in the rightmost column to open the candidate’s dossier.
On the dossier page, scroll down to the Components section.
Find the External Reviewer component box (or External Evaluator component box if you’re working in the Research Faculty Promotion process), and click +Add.
In the popup, click +Add in the top right corner and enter the external reviewer’s information in the corresponding textboxes.
Click Save.
Repeat steps 6-7 until you’ve added all the suggested external reviewers that the candidate will submit with their dossier.
Suggestions for external reviewers from the candidate can only be added to their dossier using the method above before the candidate submits their package. If a candidate wants to submit an additional suggested external reviewer after they’ve submitted, then you will need to add the suggested external reviewer on their External Reviewer Manager screen, following the steps in this user guide.
